IPL 2016-winning captain David Warner went unsold at the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Former Australia batting legend David Warner has predicted the winners of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Notably, Warner was part of the IPL 2025 mega auction ahead of the tournament. However, he went unsold at his base price of INR 2 crores.

The IPL 2025 has reached its climax, and the tournament will have its champions in a few days. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) made it to the final after defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 1. PBKS and MI are all set to clash in Qualifier 2 on Sunday, June 1.

Hence, one among these three teams will be the winners of IPL 2025. Notably, RCB and PBKS eye their maiden IPL titles. They have made it to the finals in the past, but are yet to lay their hands on the gold. On the other hand, MI aim for their sixth trophy in this season.

David Warner predicts winners of IPL 2025 on X

On Sunday (June 1), Warner predicted the winners of the IPL 2025 on X (formerly Twitter). An X user asked Warner who will win the summit clash this season. In reply, he predicted RCB as the winners of the tournament.

Warner also feels Josh Hazlewood will win the player of the match in the final. “I think RCB and Josh Hazlewood man of the match”, he wrote on X.

Notably, RCB grabbed an incredible victory against PBKS in the Qualifier 1. The Rajat Patidar & Co. bundled out the opposition for just 101 runs in the first innings. Later, they chased down the target by eight wickets like a walk in the park. Hazlewood picked up a crucial three-wicket haul in the encounter.

Meanwhile, Warner also has an IPL title in his kitty. Interestingly, he led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to their first title by defeating RCB in the final of IPL 2016. He is one of the legendary batters in the IPL, with 6,565 runs in 184 games with four centuries and 62 half-centuries.
