IPL 2025 is scheduled to start on March 22.
On Sunday, February 16, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the full schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The tournament will begin on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Kolkata, and will conclude with the final on May 25 at the same venue.
The first double-header of the tournament will be played on March 23, with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) hosting Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in the afternoon match, while five-time champions Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will kick off their campaign on the same day at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai in the evening.
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will kick off their campaign with a clash on March 24 in Visakhapatnam. Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be the last to begin their season on March 25 in Ahmedabad.
The tournament will feature 74 games over 65 days, including 12 double-headers. The playoffs stage will begin on May 20, with Hyderabad hosting Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator, while Kolkata will host Qualifier 2 and the final.
Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Gujarat Titans will play three afternoon matches each, while the other six franchises will play two-day matches each.
The schedule includes 13 venues, featuring the primary home grounds of all 10 franchises along with Guwahati (Royals’ second home venue), Visakhapatnam (Capitals’ second home venue), and Dharamsala (Punjab’s second home venue).

Groups as follows:
Group 1: Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings
