IPL 2025 mega auction: RTM Cards
The Right-to-Match (RTM) card has been reintroduced for this year’s mega auction after it was last used during the mega auction in 2018.
In 2018, the rule allowed a team to use the RTM card to match the highest bid placed on a player who was part of their squad during the previous season. However, in this auction, the franchise that places the original bid will have one more opportunity to raise the bid for the player even after the team with RTM card uses it.
This time, the IPL governing council allowed teams to retain up to a maximum of six players including direct retentions and RTM cards. Based on that, only a few RTM cards are available with the teams entering the mega auction.
The RTM card availability all the franchises is listed below:
CSK: 1
DC: 2
