DC bought KL Rahul for INR 14 crores at the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Delhi Capitals (DC) are set to have a new skipper in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season and that is very likely to be KL Rahul, who they bought for INR 14 crores on day 1 of the mega auction in Saudi Arabia.

Rahul, who was released by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), was one of the marquee players and DC roped him in for a decent amount, having failed to RTM Rishabh Pant. RCB, KKR, and CSK were three other teams who bid for Rahul, but eventually DC staved off competition from others to secure the keeper-opener’s services.

The other major purchase DC made was Mitchell Starc for INR 11.75 crores. Starc was the Man of the Match in Qualifier 1 and final last season while playing for KKR.

DC used their RTM card on Jake Fraser-McGurk, while other notable purchases they made were Harry Brook and T Natarajan.
