IPL 2025 mega auction: Gujarat Titans use RTM to buy back spinner R Sai Kishore
R Sai Kishore took seven wickets for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024.
Young left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore has emerged as one of the most economical and accurate in the domestic circuit. Playing in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL), Sai Kishore made headlines through his impressive performances first two seasons.
Standing at 6 feet 5 inches, Kishore is known for his impeccable line and length. Additionally, he is also a useful lower-order batsman averaging 20 in List A cricket.
Sai Kishore has also played three T20Is for the Indian cricket team, when they toured Hanzghou, China for the Asian Games in 2023.
Gujarat Titans buy R Sai Kishore for INR 2 crores
At the IPL 2025 mega auction, Gujarat Titans (GT) exercised their RTM option and secured Sai Kishore’s services once again for INR 2 crores.
SRH were the first team to bid for Sai at his base price of INR 75 lakhs and then PBKS came into the race. PBKS edged out SRH at INR 90 lakhs before losing the player to GT, who used their RTM card, for INR 2 crores.
Kishore will partner with Rashid Khan in the GT spin attack.
R Sai Kishore previously in the IPL
R Sai Kishore began his Indian Premier League (IPL) journey with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2020 with a salary of INR 20 lakhs. Despite being part of the CSK squad for two seasons, he did not get a chance to earn a place in the playing XI.
Kishore’s fortunes changed at the IPL 2022 mega auction when Gujarat Titans (GT) bought him for ₹3 crores. He made his much-awaited debut against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in 2022 in Pune.
