A right-hand fast bowler who plays for Himachal Pradesh, Vaibhav Arora is known for his ability to swing the ball back into the right-handers. Vaibhav made his Ranji debut for Himachal Pradesh in 2019. He came into the spotlight after taking a hat-trick on his List A debut in 2021.
Vaibhav started his Indian Premier League (IPL) journey with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2021.
Kolkata Knight Riders buy Vaibhav Arora for INR 1.8 crores
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have brought back Vaibhav Arora for INR 1.8 crores at the IPL 2025 auction. Starting with the base price of INR 30 lakhs, Vaibhav attracted bids from Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and KKR.
KKR eventually edged out DC to secure the fast bowler. Vaibhav will provide valuable depth to KKR’s fast-bowling cartel. Known for his lethal in-swinging deliveries Eden Gardens can prove to be a perfect breeding ground for Vaibhav.
Vaibhav Arora previously in the IPL
Vaibhav Arora began his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2021 with a salary of INR 20 lakhs. However, he didn’t make his debut until 2022 when Punjab Kings (PBKS) bought him for INR 2 crores. Vaibhav played five games in that season, picking up five wickets with an economy of 9.
His breakout season came in 2024 when he returned to KKR for INR 60 lakhs. Vaibhav played a crucial role in KKR’s title-winning campaign, contributing with 11 wickets in 10 games. His impressive run in the tournament included his spell of 1/24 in the finals where he dismissed Travis Head for a golden duck.
