IPL 2025: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 45, MI vs LSG

MI crushed LSG by 54 runs in the match 45 of IPL 2025.

Mumbai Indians (MI) hosted Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 45th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The encounter took place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. LSG had a mammoth target of 216 runs to chase in the match. However, they failed to chase down the target as MI won the match by a huge margin of 54 runs. Jasprit Bumrah grabbed four wickets for MI in the defense.

After being asked to bat first, MI piled up a gigantic total of 215/7 on the scoreboard. Opener Ryan Rickelton shattered a marvellous half-century (58). Later, Suryakumar Yadav also smacked a half-century. Will Jacks and Naman Dhir added crucial runs on the board. For LSG, Mayank Yadav and Avesh Khan captured two wickets each. Prince Yadav, Digvesh Rathi, and Ravi Bishnoi stole one wicket each.

IPL 2025: Updated points table

After match 45 of IPL 2025, MI have jumped to second spot in the updated points table. They have 12 points and Net Run Rate (NNR) of +0.889. On the other hand, LSG take the sixth position in the points table. They have 10 points and NRR of -0.325.

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) take the first and third spots respectively with 12 points each. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take fourth place with an equal number of points. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are languishing at bottom of the table with four points each.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

MI batter Yadav has jumped to the top spot in Orange Cap leaderboard after his half-century in the MI vs LSG match. LSG batters Pooran and Marsh got out for 27 runs and 34 runs respectively. While Pooran has moved to the third spot, Marsh takes the fifth spot. Sai Sudharan has lost his peak position and now takes the second spot with 417 runs. RCB’s Virat Kohli has dropped to the fourth position.

IPL 2025: Most wickets (Purple Cap)

Prasidh Krishna and Josh Hazlewood are the most successful bowlers in IPL 2025 and take the top two spots in Purple Cap leaderboard. Both of them have 16 wickets each. Noor Ahmad takes the third spot with 14 wickets.

Harshal Patel and Kuldeep Yadav are other bowlers among the top five-wicket takers in IPL 2025. There are no LSG or MI bowlers in the list. Notably, MI skipper Hardik Pandya also has 12 wickets in his kitty, equal to that of fifth-ranked Yadav. LSG pacer Shardul Thakur, who missed the game, also account for 12 scalps each.
