SRH defeated LSG by six wickets in the 61st match of IPL 2025.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) hosted Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match No. 61 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Monday, May 19. The encounter took place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

SRH had a target of 206 runs in the match. Abhishek Sharma (59), Ishan Kishan (35), and Heinrich Klaasen (47) helped SRH chase down the target with ease. SRH won the match by six wickets in the 19th over.

Earlier, SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl first. LSG piled up 205/7 in the first innings, thanks to commendable half-centuries by opener Mitchell Marsh (65) and Aiden Markram (61). Nicholas Pooran also added crucial 45 runs on the board.

With the loss in the game, LSG became fifth team to get eliminated from the playoffs race.

After the 61st match of IPL 2025, SRH occupy the eighth spot in the points table. They have nine points and Net Run Rate (NNR) of -1.005. On the other hand, LSG grab the seventh spot in the latest team standings and are eliminated from the playoffs race. They have 10 points and NNR of -0.506.

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) grab the top two spots in the points table with 18 and 17 points respectively. Punjab Kings (PBKS) capture the third spot with 17 points. All three of them have qualified for the playoffs. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) languish at the bottom of the points table with six points each.

There is no change in the list of top five highest run-scorers in IPL 2025 following the LSG vs SRH match of IPL 2025. GT batters Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill grab the top two spots with 617 runs and 601 runs respectively. Yashasvi Jaiswal (523) and Suryakumar Yadav (510) grab the next two positions in the Orange Cap leaderboard. Virat Kohli holds the fifth spot with 505 runs. No SRH or LSG batters are part of list.

Josh Hazlewood and Trent Boult are next on the list with 18 scalps each. Varun Chakravarthy is placed fifth with 17 wickets. No LSG or SRH bowlers are part of Purple Cap leaderboard.
