RR defeated CSK by six runs in the 11th match of IPL 2025.

On Sunday, March 30, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six runs in the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Sent in to bat first, Rajasthan Royals were led by Nitish Rana, who smashed 81 off 36 balls, including 10 fours and five sixes. He found solid support from Riyan Parag, who chipped in with 37 runs, helping RR post a competitive 182/9.

For CSK, Noor Ahmad, Khaleel Ahmed, and Matheesha Pathirana claimed two wickets each, while Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin chipped in with one wicket apiece.

In reply, CSK had a disastrous start, losing opener Rachin Ravindra for a duck in the first over to Jofra Archer. Rahul Tripathi and Ruturaj Gaikwad steadied the innings with a 46-run stand for the second wicket before Wanindu Hasaranga struck twice, dismissing Tripathi and Shivam Dube in quick succession.

Gaikwad top-scored for the Yellow Army with 63 off 44 balls. Ravindra Jadeja (32*) and MS Dhoni (16) attempted to pull off a late chase with some explosive hitting in the final overs, but ultimately fell six runs short.

Thanks to a thrilling win, RR have opened their account with two points from three matches, moving to ninth in the points table. CSK, meanwhile, also remain on two points from three games but now sit at seventh position. RCB continue to lead the table with four points and a superior NRR of +2.266.

DC, LSG, GT, PBKS, and KKR hold the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth spots respectively. SRH sit at eighth place, while MI remain at the bottom of the table.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

Nicholas Pooran leads the run-scorers’ chart with 145 runs in the tournament. He is followed by GT’s Sai Sudharsan, who has moved to second place with 137 runs. SRH opener Travis Head has jumped to the third spot with a tally of 136 runs.

LSG’s Mitchell Marsh takes the fourth spot with 124 runs, while Aniket Verma broke into the top five highest run-scorers of IPL 2025 earlier today with 117 runs.

Thanks to his two-wicket haul in the game, Noor Ahmad has overtaken Mitchell Starc to become the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with nine scalps. Starc now sits in second place with eight wickets to his name.

Khaleel Ahmed and Shardul Thakur occupy the third and fourth spots with six wickets each, while Wanindu Hasaranga rounds out the top five with a tally of five wickets.
