IPL 2025: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 21, MI vs RCB

RCB defeated MI by 12 runs in match 21 of IPL 2025.
Mumbai Indians (MI) lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 12 runs in the match 21 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Chasing a gigantic 222-run target at the Wankhede Stadium, MI lost their openers Rohit Sharma (17) and Ryan Rickelton (17) cheaply.
Later, middle-order batters Tilak Varma (56 off 28) and Hardik Pandya (42 off 15) smacked quickfire knocks. However, MI managed to reach 209/9 at the end and lost the game by 12 runs. Krunal Pandya picked a fabulous four-wicket haul for RCB in the clash.
Earlier in the first innings, RCB piled up 221/5 in 20 overs. Opener Virat Kohli (67) slammed his second fifty of the tournament. Skipper Rajat Patidar (64) also scored a fifty while Jitesh Sharma (40* off 19) did some power hitting down the order.
MI bowlers largely failed to attack RCB batting line-up. Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya picked up two wickets each. Vignesh Puthur clinched one wicket. The rest bowlers failed to get any success. Notably, MI’s Jasprit Bumrah on his return conceded only 29 runs in a high-scoring game.
IPL 2025: Updated points table

After defeat against RCB in the match, MI have dropped to eighth spot in IPL 2025 points table. They have two points and Net Run Rate (NRR) of -0.010. They have won one game out of five they’ve played so far. On the other hand, RCB now hold the third position in the updated standings with six points and NRR of +1.015.
Delhi Capitals (DC) steal the top spot in the table with three wins in three games and six points. Gujarat Titans (GT) follow them with an equal number of points. Punjab Kings (PBKS) are ranked fourth with four points.
IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)
Suryakumar Yadav, who slammed 28 runs in the match against RCB, now accounts for 199 runs and takes the second spot in the Orange Cap leaderboard. Kohli has jumped to the sixth spot with 164 runs with his stunning half-century in the encounter.
RCB skipper Patidar follows him next on seventh spot with 161 runs after match 21 of IPL 2025. Nicholas Pooran rules the Orange Cap leaderboard with 201 runs. Sai Sudharsan holds the third spot with 191 runs. Mitchell Marsh and Jos Buttler are the other two batsmen in the list of top five highest run-scorers this season.

IPL 2025: Most wickets (Purple Cap)
MI skipper Hardik Pandya, who picked two wickets in the match, has leapfrogged to the second spot in the Purple Cap leaderboard. There are no RCB bowlers among the top five wicket-takers in IPL 2025. Chennai Super Kings’ Noor Ahmad continues to lead the list with 10 scalps. Mitchell Starc, Mohammed Siraj, and Sai Kishore are the other three bowlers in the list of top five.
