MI defeated SRH by four wickets in match 33 of IPL 2025.

Mumbai Indians (MI) hosted Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, April 17, in 33rd game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Hardik Pandya & Co. defeated the visitors by five wickets in the match. Suryakumar Yadav (26), Ryan Rickelton (31), Hardik Pandya (21), and Will Jacks (36) helped MI chase the 163-run target in the encounter with their decent knocks.

Earlier, MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl first. SRH failed to produce a stunning batting show this time, reaching just 162/5 in 20 overs. Openers Abhishek Sharma (40) and Travis Head (28) etched a 59-run stand at the start.

The next batters in line failed to power SRH to a big total. Heinrich Klaasen slammed 37 runs towards the end. MI bowlers showed impressive teamwork in bowling. Will Jacks picked two wickets while Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, and Pandya got one scalp each.

After the defeat against MI in match 33 of IPL 2025, SRH take the ninth spot in IPL 2025 points table. They have four points and Net Run Rate (NRR) of -1.217. On the other hand, MI stay in the seventh position after the victory. They have six points and an NRR of +0.239.

Delhi Capitals (DC) continue to take the top spot in the IPL 2025 points table with 10 points. Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are positioned second and third respectively with eight points each. Punjab Kings (PBKS) grab the fourth position with an equal number of points.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

MI vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav has reached the fourth spot in the Orange Cap Leaderboard after the MI vs SRH game. The right-handed batsman scored 26 runs in the match. He has replaced Virat Kohli from the list and leapfrogged Shreyas Iyer, who has now dropped down to fifth position.

No SRH batter is among the top five highest run-scorers in IPL 2025 as of now. LSG batter Nicholas Pooran continues to lead the list with 357 runs, followed by GT’s Sai Sudharsan with 329 runs. Mitchell Marsh is another member among the top five run-getters in the season.

Hardik Pandya, who picked one wicket in the match, takes the fourth spot in the Purple Cap Leaderboard. CSK spinner Noor Ahmad continues to top the list with 12 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav, Khaleel Ahmed and Shardul Thakur are other members on the list of top five wicket-takers this season. There are no SRH bowlers among the top five highest wicket-takers in IPL 2025.
