IPL 2025: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 38, MI vs CSK

MI crushed CSK by nine wickets in the 38th match of IPL 2025.

Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, in the 38th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav played a vital role in batting and led Mumbai to victory. MI won the match by a huge margin of nine wickets.

Earlier, MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. MI bowlers did a wonderful job of bowling to restrict CSK to 175/5 in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube slammed half-centuries for the side. Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets for MI. Deepak Chahar, Ashwani Kumar, and Mitchell Santner got one wicket each.

IPL 2025: Updated points table

After match 38 of IPL 2025, MI takes the sixth spot in the IPL 2025 points table. They have eight points and a Net Run Rate (NNR) of +0.483. On the other hand, CSK takes the last 10th position with four points and an NRR of -1.392.

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are in the top two positions in the updated points table with 10 points each. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) hold the third and fourth spots, respectively, with 10 points.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

With the half-century against Chennai, Suryakumar Yadav has now come to the fourth position in the Orange Cap leaderboard. There are no other MI players in the list. LSG batter Nicholas Pooran continues to take the top spot, followed by GT opener Sai Sudharsan in the second spot. Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler are other members on the list.

CSK spinner Noor Ahmad takes the third spot in the Purple Cap Leaderboard with 12 wickets. Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav grab the top two spots. Josh Hazlewood and Shardul Thakur take the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, with 12 wickets each.
