IPL 2025: Rashid Khan achieves unwanted feat, officially becomes worst bowler in IPL 18

Gujarat Titans (GT) are locking horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 25. The GT vs CSK encounter is the 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
CSK skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat first in the match. CSK are out of the playoffs and are currently in the last spot in the points table. The five-time champions so far have six points to their name and are facing GT in their last match of the tournament.
CSK batters showed a wonderful batting display from the start and smacked GT bowlers all over the park. GT spinner Rashid Khan was among the most expensive bowlers in the innings. He leaked 42 runs in his four-over spell. During the match, the leg-spinner also registered an unwanted record to his name.
Rashid Khan equals record for conceding most sixes in an IPL season
The right-arm spinner has registered the record for getting hit for the most sixes in an IPL season. Rashid Khan has now conceded 31 sixes in IPL 2025 so far, equalling Mohammed Siraj’s record, who also conceded the same number of sixes in 2022 season. Wanindu Hasaranga, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Dwayne Bravo are next on the list.

Rashid has not been in his best form in IPL 2025. He has picked up just nine wickets in 14 games at an average of 53.66. He has an economy of 9.47.
Meanwhile, CSK have piled up a mammoth total of 230/5 vs GT in the IPL 2025 clash. Devon Conway (52) and Dewald Brevis (57) slammed fifties for the side. Ayush Mhatre and Urvil Patel added crucial knocks of 34 runs and 37 runs, respectively. Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers for GT with his figures of two for 22.
