IPL 2025: RCB announce 10 lakh compensation for family members of deceased 11 fans who lost lives in stampede

As many as 11 people lost their lives there, and also 20 fans got injured during RCB’s IPL 2025 victory celebration.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have come up with a heartfelt gesture for the family members of 11 fans who lost their lives in the stampede during the team’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 win celebrations. The franchise will be giving 10 lakhs each to the families, and will also be raising funds for injured fans.
The victory celebrations of the RCB turned from joy to sorrow in no time as a massive tragedy unfolded during their event in Bengaluru. The franchise organised a parade followed by the celebrations at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium for their first-ever title win in the IPL.
Lakhs of people gathered around the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, and it resulted in a stampede. As many as 11 people lost their lives there, and 20 fans were also injured. There was an utter fuss with panic revolving all around as fans rushed to save their lives.
RCB announce financial support of INR 10 lakhs to each of the eleven families
Despite the mishap happening, RCB continued their celebrations and it saw the franchise facing a lot of criticism. Following the event, the franchise came up with an official statement, mourning the loss of lives due to their victory celebration.
However, now, RCB have come up with a kind gesture for the families of 11 people. They will be donating INR 10 lakhs and also have created one fund to support the fans who are injured. They released an official statement, saying that they remain united in grief.
“The unfortunate incident in Bengaluru yesterday has caused a lot of anguish and pain to the RCB family. As a mark of respect and a gesture of solidarity, RCB has announced financial support of INR 10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased.
“In addition, a fund called RCB Cares is also being created to support fans injured in this tragic incident. Our fans will always remain at the heart of everything that we do. We remain united in grief.”
RCB won the IPL title for the first time in 18 years. The franchise beat PBKS in the final by six runs at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium. It was a high-pressure game, and the Rajat Patidar-led side held their nerves to seal the game in the last over of the match.
