Nicholas Pooran has expressed support for new Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Pant was roped in by the franchise for a whopping price INR 27 crores at the IPL 2025 mega auction. He will replace KL Rahul as the leader of the franchise after the Super Giants released him earlier.

Pant had a fantastic IPL 2024, scoring 446 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 156. However, his leadership was questioned as the Delhi Capitals finished sixth in the league and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
