Suryakumar Yadav owns the Orange Cap in IPL 2025 after first 57 games.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been suspended after a total of 57 games. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the league with immediate effect on Friday, May 9, due to security reasons. BCCI will take a call in the upcoming days about the rescheduling of the rest of the matches.
Notably, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) match, which was 58th match of IPL 2025, was halted midway in Dharamsala on Thursday, May 8, due to technical issues inside the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium. Also, the players, crew members and crowd was evacuated from the stadium immediately, and the match was abandoned.
In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor by Indian Armed Forces, the military tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated. Hence, BCCI has stopped the IPL 2025 matches for the safety of players and everyone involved in the tournament.
