IPL 2026 Auction: Remaining purse & slots of all teams

The IPL 2026 auction will be held on December 16 in Abu Dhabi.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction is just around the corner, and excitement is building as all 10 teams gear up for the 19th season of the tournament. Ahead of the mini-auction, franchises have made several big retention and release calls.
While some teams enter the auction room with a settled core and only a few gaps to fill, others have let go of key players and will look to rebuild with smarter deals at the table. The auction is scheduled to take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi.
A total of 359 players have been shortlisted to go under the hammer, which includes 113 overseas players and 246 Indian players. With a maximum squad size of 25, ten franchises will fight to acquire the best talent and fill the remaining 77 slots.
On that note, let’s take a look at the remaining purse and available slots of all teams for IPL 2026 Auction.
Kolkata Knight Riders – 64.3 crores and 13 slots

Kolkata Knight Riders made some bold decisions ahead of the auction, releasing key players like Venkatesh Iyer and Andre Russell. Soon after, Russell also announced his retirement from the IPL.
With these moves, KKR now enter the auction with the biggest purse – 64.3 crores. They have 13 slots left, including 6 overseas spots, giving them plenty of room to rebuild their squad for the upcoming season.
Chennai Super Kings – 43.4 crores and 9 slots

Chennai Super Kings were active in the trade window, bringing in Sanju Samson from RR for 18 crores while sending Ravindra Jadeja (14 cr) and Sam Curran (2.4 cr) the other way.
After these trades, CSK will enter the auction with the second-highest purse of 43.4 crores. They have 9 slots left, including 4 overseas spots, as they look to reshape their squad for the new season.
Sunrisers Hyderabad – 25.5 crores and 10 slots
Sunrisers Hyderabad enter the mini auction with the third-highest purse of 25.5 crores. They have retained most of their core group but still have 10 slots available, including 2 overseas spots. With decent funds and several gaps to address, SRH are expected to be quite active at the auction table.
Lucknow Super Giants – 22.95 crores and 6 slots
Ahead of IPL 2026 auction, LSG moved strategically in the trade window, acquiring Mohammed Shami from Sunrisers Hyderabad and trading Shardul Thakur to the Mumbai Indians in exchange for Arjun Tendulkar.
Lucknow will enter the mini auction with a purse of 22.95 crores and 6 slots available, including 4 overseas positions. The franchise is expected to target impactful bowlers and finishers to balance their squad.
Delhi Capitals – 21.8 crores and 8 slots
Delhi Capitals were also active during the trade window, acquiring Nitish Rana and sending Donovan Ferreira to the Rajasthan Royals in exchange. The Capitals retained most of their core and look largely settled, but they still have 8 spots to fill, including five overseas slots.
They have a purse of 21.8 crores for the mini auction. With a balanced foundation already in place, they are expected to focus on depth and specialist roles at the auction.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 16.4 crores and 8 slots

The defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, have ticked almost all their boxes by retaining most of their title-winning core. They will still look to strengthen one or two weak areas, entering the auction with a purse of 16.4 crores and 8 available slots, including 2 overseas spots.
With a strong squad, they are expected to make a few changes to improve their lineup for the upcoming season.
Rajasthan Royals – 16.05 crores and 9 slots
Rajasthan Royals made a move in the trade window, exchanging their captain, Sanju Samson, to CSK in return for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.
Aiming to add more all-round options to their squad, they will enter the mini auction with a purse of 16.05 crores and 9 slots left, including 1 overseas spot. They will be eager to add some more valuable players to the squad.
Gujarat Titans – 12.9 crores and 5 slots
Gujarat Titans will enter the mini-auction with a purse of only 12.9 crores, mainly because they have retained most of their core players and have only 5 spots left, including 4 overseas spots. They will look to strengthen their team with smart buys.
Punjab Kings – 11.5 crores and 4 slots

The runners-up of last season, Punjab Kings, will enter the mini-auction with a purse of only 11.5 crores. They have already retained most of the players who contributed to the team’s success last year, when they reached the finals.
Kings have only 4 slots available, including 2 overseas spots. They aim to add a few more names to strengthen the areas they lacked last season and go one step further this year.
Mumbai Indians – 2.75 crores and 5 slots

The joint-most successful team of the IPL, the Mumbai Indians, will enter the mini-auction with the lowest purse among all teams, having just 2.75 crores.
They were active during the trade window, exchanging Arjun Tendulkar and acquiring Shardul Thakur from LSG. MI still have 5 slots available, including 1 overseas spot, and will look to complete their squad with some low-budget buys at the auction.
