In just under 24 hours, the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) auction will be held. Abu Dhabi will host this one-day event, where 359 names will be auctioned.
India’s current U19 team is playing in the Asia Cup tournament in Dubai. Several well-known players, such as Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, are part of this team.
17-year-old Mhatre has already made his IPL debut for Chennai Super Kings and made an immediate impact. On the other hand, Vaibhav Suryavanshi grabbed the headlines when he became the youngest batter to score an IPL ton.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, a few other Indian U19 players have entered the fray to play the biggest T20 league in the world. The IPL 2026 is scheduled to take place after the U19 World Cup, which will give the teams an idea of the kind of talent they will have at their disposal.
5- Kanishk Chouhan
Young Kanishk Chouhan is an emerging all-rounder from Haryana with immense potential. The 19-year-old has priced himself at INR 30 Lakhs ahead of the upcoming IPL 2026 auctions.
Chouhan has been in decent form with the bat, scoring 74 runs from two games in the ongoing U19 Asia Cup. The youngster scored a match-winning 46 against Pakistan and also claimed three wickets with the ball.
4- Khilan Patel
Touted as a strong replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in the future, young Khilan Patel is already showing glimpses of his amazing talents.
The 19-year-old from Gujarat is a talented left-arm spin bowler and also a more than capable batter. Patel is known for his penetrating bowling and his ability to bowl continuously without tiring and take wickets.
3- Naman Pushpak
Leg-spinner Naman Pushpak is yet to get a game in the Under-19 Asia Cup, but is a proven wicket-taker with the ball.
Naman is a clever leg-spin bowler and can deceive batsmen with his variations and shrewd tactics. The 19-year-old picked 4 for 45 in a game against Afghanistan U19 to showcase his talents.
2- R S Ambrish
Tamil Nadu’s young star RS Ambrish is receiving a lot of praise in the domestic cricket circuit. This 18-year-old player is a capable medium-pace bowler and a very dangerous batsman, known for his attacking style of play with the bat.
Ambrish has already played two first-class matches, scoring 43 runs and taking two wickets. Chennai Super Kings, in particular, will be keeping an eye on their hometown hero.
1- Vihaan Malhotra
Seen as one of the best young batters to emerge from India, Vihaan Malhotra is a classy left-handed batter. The 18-year-old has all the shots in the book and can play pace and spin with equal ease.
Vihaan showcased his excellent batting talent by scoring a brilliant 69 runs against the UAE in the first match of the U19 Asia Cup. The young batter will be keenly looked at by many sides who will want to have the young batting prodigy in their ranks.
