The IPL 2027 mini auction will be held in Goa in December, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed to PTI on Wednesday.
The likely dates for the auction are December 15 and 16. However, the exact schedule is still to be officially confirmed.
“We have finalised Goa. The likely dates are December 15 to 16,” Dhumal told PTI.
The decision means the auction will return to Indian soil after three consecutive editions were held overseas. The previous auctions were hosted in Dubai, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi.
Dhumal had earlier spoken about the plan to bring the auction back to India. The 2027 event will now take place in Goa as the BCCI and organisers prepare for the next season.
The mini auction will give all franchises an opportunity to make changes to their squads ahead of IPL 2027. Teams will look at their existing players before deciding which areas need strengthening.
