Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have taken complete control of their opening encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Hyderabad.

After being asked to bat first in the afternoon game, the hosts registered the second-highest total in IPL history – 286/6 in 20 overs. They were led by Ishan Kishan’s unbeaten 106 off 47 balls, with support from Travis Head (67) and Heinrich Klaasen (34).

The game saw RR fast bowler Jofra Archer register an unwanted record, recording the most expensive spell in IPL history with match figures of 76/0 in four overs.
