On September 24, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced squad of Rest of India (ROI) for the upcoming Irani Cup 2024 match against current Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai.
The one-off test match between the two sides will be played from October 1 to October 5 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Veteran opener Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the Rest of India side in the Irani Cup 2024 match against Mumbai.
Abhimanyu Easwaran, who captained India B side in the recently concluded Duleep Trophy 2024, has been named vice-captain of the ROI squad for the Irani Cup 2024.
The selection committee has also named Dhruv Jurel and Yash Dayal into the line-up. However, their participation is subject to their selection in the playing XI for the second test match against Bangladesh, starting from September 27.
