Ireland completed a 2-0 whitewash in IRE vs IND T20I series.
The Ireland Cricket Team scripted history by bagging their first-ever T20I series victory over India on Sunday, June 28. The second T20I, which took place at Civil Services Club in Belfast, witnessed the hosts winning close-fought game by just one run.
India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first. Ireland lost openers Tim Tector and Ross Adair cheaply; however, Harry Tector (53) slammed a half-century to bring his team back in the game. Benjamin Calitz added 37 runs as Ireland posted 154/8. For India, Prince Yadav clinched a three-wicket haul in the clash.
India suffered a big blow at the start, losing both openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma for golden ducks. Key batters like Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel also lost their wickets cheaply.
Tilak Varma (55) smacked a half-century to keep his team in the hunt but lost his wicket at a crucial moment. In the end, Harshit Rana (21 off 10) tried his best but lost his wicket in the final over.
Pacer Prince Yadav, who made his debut in the clash, hit a six on the final delivery but India fell short of just one run. Earlier, India lost the opening game by 34 runs.

India’s Tilak Varma, who scored a half-century in the 2nd T20I, finished as the leading run-scorer in the series with 74 runs. Lorcan Tucker (65) and Harry Tector (53) are next batters in the list, followed by Ben Calitz (52) and Abhishek Sharma (50) in the last two spots.
