"TV Bach Gaye": Irfan Pathan brutally roasts Pakistan after rain washes out IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Group A match

Pakistan qualified for the Super Four stage of Asia Cup 2023 following washout of group stage match against India.
Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan was at his sarcastic best after the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 encounter which got washed out after one innings in Kandy, Sri Lanka on September 2, 2023. As a result, both the teams shared one point each and Pakistan qualified for the Super 4s stage.
Arch-rivals India and Pakistan faced each other in an ODI for the first time in more than four years on Saturday (September 2) during the Asia Cup 2023 Group A match in Pallekele. But the high-voltage game between the two star-studded sides finished without a result, as no play was possible in the second innings due to consistent rain in Kandy.
India had won the toss and chosen to bat first. But Shaheen Afridi rocked the top order along with Haris Rauf. Afridi removed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli early in the innings and Haris Rauf accounted for Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer.
But then Ishan Kishan (82) and Hardik Pandya (87) played maturely, rebuilding the innings and adding 138 runs for the fifth wicket. But Haris Rauf came back again and removed a tired and cramping Kishan.
The Indian lower order was no match for Pakistani pacers and India was bundled out for 266 runs with Shaheen picking 4/35 and Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah taking 3 wickets each.
"Bahot saare Padosiyon ke TV bach gaye aaj”- Irfan Pathan trolls Pakistan
Irfan Pathan, a former all-rounder for India, poked fun at Pakistan when rain called off their Asia Cup 2023 match against India at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy without a ball being bowled in the second innings.
The former cricketer-turned-commentator made light of the fact that numerous television sets were spared from destruction by the constant rainfall. Pakistani cricket fans have in the past destroyed television sets and burned player posters to vent their anger at the men's team's defeat.
He tweeted: "Bahot saare Padosiyon ke TV bach gaye aaj”
Pathan’s cheeky tweet after the rain washout immediately went viral on the social media platform. India will next face Nepal on Monday at the same venue, while Pakistan has qualified for the Super 4s.
