The Indian Cricket Team is set to play Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series. The first match is scheduled to be played on September 13, followed by another two matches on September 15 and 17. All three matches are scheduled to be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, and will be hosted by Afghanistan.
It will be the first time that the Indian will be treated as visitors in a match being played on Indian soil. The Indian team will also take the away dressing room and follow all the other formalities of being an away team.
The Indian management might field their main starting XI in the series since the team is going through a rough patch after performing poorly in overseas conditions, and now they need to regain their confidence. However, the team is already going through many injury concerns.

Star Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan has sustained a waist injury ahead of the T20I series against Afghanistan. As per the reports in PTI, Kishan developed a sprain on the backside of his waist while trying to sway away from a short ball bowled by net bowler Navdeep Saini.
Kishan has played a major role in the success of the Indian team during the T20 World Cup earlier this year, and ever since then, he has cemented his place in the team.
However, there are so many players in the international team that if he misses a few matches and someone plays in his place and does well, it can become difficult for Ishan.
However, there is no official confirmation about the severity of the injury sustained by Ishan, and he might play the first match of the series against Afghanistan.
