3 players Ishan Kishan could replace in India XI for 4th IND vs NZ T20I
Ishan Kishan missed second and third IND vs NZ T20Is due to injury.
The Indian Cricket Team have been extremely dominant on their tour to New Zealand so far. They won the first three matches of the five-match T20I series, and with their triumphant performance, the Men in Blue have already won the series. However, unlike the recently concluded West Indies series, India have made more changes in the ongoing series, such as giving Vaibhav Sooryavanshi an opportunity in the middle order.
The fourth T20I will be played at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday, October 30. Talking about Ishan Kishan, he played only in the first game of the series, where he came to bat at the fifth spot. He was dismissed at a score of 1 by Mitchell Santner.
However, after two games on the sidelines with a low-grade right adductor strain, Kishan has also been seen practicing well in the nets ahead of the Men in Blue’s fourth T20I game against New Zealand. There are chances that he might be back for the next game. But the question remains about who will he replace in the XI? Thus, without any further ado, let’s take a look at 3 players Ishan Kishan could replace in India XI for the 4th IND vs NZ T20I.

3. Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson has been India’s most reliable opening batter in the T20Is in recent times. Samson scored 67 runs in the first game in 33 deliveries, winning Player of the Match award. In the second game, his performance dipped as he struggled to score in the power play, playing a modest innings of 14 runs off 17 balls.
His struggle continued in the third game, where he sacrificed his opening position for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Samson scored 18 off 13 balls, and he might sit outside for fourth game, allowing Kishan to get some game time before ODIs.
2. Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma scored 29 runs off 12 deliveries to start the series. The Sunrisers Hyderabad batter continued giving a short cameo even in the second game, where he scored 27 runs. However, the 26-year-old smashed a century in the third game of the series.
Abhishek Sharma scored 113 runs off 38 balls to confirm the Men in Blue’s triumph in the T20I series over New Zealand. The 26-year-old looks the most in form among the men; however, he has been playing continously, and management might consider resting him for 4th T20I.
1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

After not getting an opportunity to play in the T20I series against the West Indies, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was named in the starting XI for the second game against the Black Caps. The 15-year-old’s first outing wasn’t very memorable, as he scored 4 runs off 8 balls.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, however, fired four boundaries and four maximums in the third T20I of the ongoing series. Forming the opening pair alongside Abhishek Sharma, the Indian duo slammed 133-run opening partnership. However, if the board decides to go for a more experienced option, they can opt for Ishan Kishan, who might reclaim his spot back.
