ISL vs PES game in PSL 2026 has been marred by strong winds and rain in Lahore.

Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi was the match 7 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026) on March 31, 2026, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. It was expected to be a big encounter in the ongoing PSL 2026 tournament.

Islamabad United lost their first game of the PSL 2026 to Multan Sultans by 5 wickets. On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi started their PSL tournament with a bang, chasing down a target of over 200 runs against Rawalpindi.

These two teams have always had a fierce rivalry. Both Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi have won 13 of their 26 meetings thus far.

What is the cut off time for 5-over game in ISL vs PES clash of PSL 2026?

The match was supposed to start at 7.00 PM PKT with the toss scheduled for 6.30 PM PKT. However, there were heavy rains lashing down on the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Ground staff did whatever they could in order to get the game going, but the rain has been belting down on the surface, with every inch of the ground being covered.

The umpires were optimistic about hosting a match despite the visuals clearly showing that it was a difficult task to try and stage a game, given the amount of bad weather in Lahore. They also give due credit to the ground staff for going above and beyond to try to make the match happen.

“The ground staff are working very hard using manual super soppers to dry the main areas, especially where there are puddles. We are very optimistic and hopeful. We might have at least a five-over game, but it depends on how the situation improves,” said umpires Ahsan Raza and Asif Yaqoob, via ESPNcricinfo.

As per regulations, the cut-off time for a 5-over game between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi was around 9:40–9:46, including a short interval between innings.

However, there was no good news from the rain gods as the game was abandoned without the toss happening due to rain. Both Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will share the points as no result happened.

This also gives Islamabad United their first points in the PSL 2026. They will next face Quetta Gladiators on April 2nd at the same venue. On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi will clash with Hyderabad Kingsmen after a week-long break.
