Jai Moondra won Player of the Series award in IRE vs IND T20I series.
Ireland pacer Jai Moondra has become the talk of the town following his heroics against India in the recently concluded two-match T20I series. He hogged the headlines after his spectacular three-wicket haul in the 2nd T20I, which helped Ireland win the close-fought match by just one run.
Notably, it was a must-win game for India to level the series following their defeat in the opening clash by 34 runs. They failed to chase a 155-run target in the second game after Moondra’s incredible spell, which saw him dismissing both Indian openers and captain Shreyas Iyer.
With a total of five wickets across two games, Moondra finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the campaign. He was also awarded Player of the Match in the second T20I as well as the Player of the Series.
After his heroics against India, Jai’s profile on the professional networking platform LinkedIn is going viral. Interestingly, he is looking for a job through LinkedIn and this has caught the attention of many cricket fans across the globe.

On his profile, Jai has sported the #OpenToWork badge, which reveals that the 29-year-old is actively hunting for a corporate job. The Irish pacer is looking for full-time engineering roles across Europe.
Moondra has played only a handful of matches in Ireland’s domestic circuit and made his international debut in the IRE vs IND T20I series.
Notably, Ireland play limited number of international games, which is a main reason why their players switch to different jobs when they are not representing the nation.
Interestingly, Moondra was born in Tonk City in Rajasthan and also holds an Indian passport. According to his LinkedIn profile, Moondra relocated to Ireland in 2021 and completed his Master of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering in September 2022.
He started working at Intel as a Product Development Engineer; however, he left the company in June 2025 and has not joined another firm since.
About 6 months ago, Moondra showed interest in applying for a job post inviting applications for multiple tech-based roles across the UK and Europe. Just a month before that, Moondra had commented on another post, saying he is an ex-Intel employee from 2025 who is looking for a job in Ireland.
He made his international debut in the 1st T20I against India in Belfast on June 26. In Ireland’s domestic circuit, he plays for the Leinster Cricket Team. He has only played a handful of games in the domestic circuit so far.
