India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is gearing up for the Indian Premier League 2026, where he will represent the Mumbai Indians (MI). The tournament will commence on March 28, and MI will play their first game on March 29 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Bumrah is a crucial pacer for Mumbai and will lead the team’s pace attack in IPL 2026. Earlier this month, he gave a wonderful performance in the T20 World Cup 2026 and played a pivotal role in India’s victory.
With 14 wickets in 8 games at a brilliant average of 12.43, he was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the campaign alongside Varun Chakravarthy. He clinched a superb 4-wicket haul in the final against New Zealand and was adjudged Player of the Match.
Now, the right-arm pacer will aim to replicate his bowling heroics for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. Notably, IPL teams have started their preparations for the tournament with pre-camps.
Almost all the Indian players have joined their respective teams’ camps, which started earlier this month. However, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is yet to join the camp.
Jasprit Bumrah reaches CoE ahead of IPL 2026

According to a report by The Times of India, Bumrah checked into the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru on Monday. While other Indian stars of the Mumbai Indians squad have joined the camp in Mumbai, Bumrah was not one of them.
The report also stated that it was not clear whether Bumrah had reached the BCCI facility in Bengaluru for an injury or a routine check-up.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is set to lead MI in IPL 2026, where they will aim for their sixth title. After the opening game against KKR on March 29 at Wankhede Stadium, they will face Delhi Capitals in an away game at Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 4.
Their next clash is against the Rajasthan Royals on April 7, followed by a crucial clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 12.
