[Watch] Jasprit Bumrah castles Wriddhiman Saha with a pinpoint yorker on IPL return after 673 days
Wridhhiman Saha scored 19 runs before getting dismissed by MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
Mumbai Indians (MI) ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah marked his much-awaited return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a fiery opening over against Gujarat Titans (GT). Bumrah dismissed GT opener Wriddhiman Saha with a pinpoint yorker at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, March 24.
Bumrah, who missed the IPL 2023 edition due to a back injury and returned to the league after a hiatus of 673 days, wasted no time in making his presence felt. The incident happened during the fourth over of the GT’s innings, when Bumrah dismantled Saha’s stumps.
After conceding the boundary on the fourth ball of the over, Bumrah took his revenge on the last delivery by bowling a perfect yorker to GT opener Saha, who had no answer about MI ace pacer stunning delivery, which swung in from off stump and rattled the middle stump.
Soon after the wicket, Bumrah went off top with his trademark celebration as GT’s Saha managed to score 19 runs off 15 balls, including four boundaries during his stay at the crease. Legendary Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga was also impressed with Jasprit’s delivery as Malinga was spotted clapping soon after Saha’s dismissal.
