Jasprit Bumrah made the young fan’s day after MI had lost to LSG in Lucknow in ongoing IPL 2024.

By giving away his most valuable asset, the Purple Cap, Jasprit Bumrah ensured that a young fan’s trip to the stadium for an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match would be remembered forever. This happened after Mumbai Indians’ (MI) match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Jasprit Bumrah is leading the list of wicket-takers in the ongoing IPL 2024, revealing that he has been breathing fire with the ball. Bumrah has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dreary season for the five-time champions.

The 30-year-old, who has 14 wickets from ten innings at an average of 18.28 and an economy of 6.40, is comfortably atop the list alongside Mustafizur Rahman and Harshal Patel.

Bumrah is the proud owner of the Purple Cap, which is given to the top wicket-taker of the season, thanks to his outstanding bowling efforts thus far in the season.

Recently, Bumrah gave a young admirer the much sought-after Purple Cap in an affectionate gesture that showed how happy he was to have it. After giving the young fan the cap, the speedster was seen in a widely shared video signing an autograph for him.

After his ‘wish come true moment’ with the Indian pace spearhead, the little fan was spotted jumping with excitement in the stands.

After Mumbai’s seventh defeat of the season against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 48 on April 30, their season has taken a turn for the worse.

After being asked to bat first, Mumbai were only able to muster 144/7 in the 20 overs they were given, with the majority of the scoring coming from Nehal Wadhera (46 off 41) and Tim David (35* off 18).

In reply, though LSG also had some problems, Marcus Stoinis’ 62* shepherded the team to a 7-wicket win in the end.
