Jasprit Bumrah is currently part of India’s T20I squad for Asia Cup 2025.
Indian Cricket Team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah lashed out at former player of the team Mohammad Kaif for sharing his opinion on the pacer’s usage by captain Suryakumar Yadav in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. The tournament is underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is approaching its end soon.
Jasprit Bumrah, who is the leader of the Indian bowling attack in Asia Cup 2025, hasn’t looked at his best with the ball in the tournament. The fast bowler has been taken to a lot of runs and also has struggled to take wickets as was expected of him ahead of the tournament.
While there is no doubt that he will be back to his best, one of the noticeable things has been his usage by the skipper Suryakumar Yadav. The Indian captain has let the pacer bowl three overs in the power play, which is a rare sight for many.
Bumrah then returns for his one last over in death and that is how he has been used in the ongoing tournament. This has been many fans as well as experts have raised their concern over the same, saying that the fast bowler should bowl only two overs in the power play.
Jasprit Bumrah lashes out at Mohammad Kaif over his comments

The latest to join the bandwagon was Mohammad Kaif. The former Indian cricketer pointed out how former spinner Rohit Sharma used him differently. Not only this, Kaif also speculated that a pacer prefers to bowl overs when his body is warmed up to avoid injury.
“Bumrah under Rohit would generally bowl overs 1, 13, 17, 19. Under Surya, in the Asia Cup, he bowled a three-over spell at the start. To avoid injury, Bumrah these days, prefers to bowl while his body is warmed up. 1 over of Bumrah in the remaining 14 overs is a huge relief for batters, against stronger teams at the World Cup, this could hurt india,” Kaif wrote on Twitter.
This, however, didn’t go well with Bumrah as he schooled Mohammad Kaif. Replying to the former skipper’s post, he said: “Inaccurate before inaccurate again.”
Jasprit Bumrah will be an important player for India in the final of Asia Cup 2025. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side reached the summit clash after beating Bangladesh in the Super Four game.
