Jasprit Bumrah has been decent with the ball for India in the second IND vs WI test.
Indian Cricket Team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has bowled his heart out on day four of the ongoing second test against the West Indies Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The West Indies batters have made life tough for the Indian bowlers despite being enforced follow-on. John Campbell and Shai Hope batted brilliantly and didn’t take anything easy, making tired Indian bowlers frustrated for a long time.
After getting out for 248 in the first innings, John Campbell and Shai Hope batted brilliantly as the West Indies lost just two wickets on the third day. Both the batters continued on day four where they left at day three and had a decent start in the morning session, adding 177 runs for the third wicket.
John Campbell, in particular, looked good and went on to hit a sensational ton. However, even before he got to this ton, he could have been back in the hut had the third umpire not favoured him when Bumrah trapped him in lbw.
On the last ball of the 55th over, Bumrah bowled a delivery that stayed low and smashed into John Campbell’s pads as he played around the ball. The umpire didn’t raise the finger and the Indian skipper Shubman Gill called for DRS.
There was a spike on the UltraEdge when the ball was close to both bat and pad. The 3rd umpire – Alex Wharf – however, didn’t take time and said that there’s an inside edge and asked the umpire to stay with the on-field call. By the looks of it, it seemed that it was pad first.

This didn’t amaze Jasprit Bumrah as he went close to the umpire and said: “You know it’s out, but the technology can’t prove it,”. The comment was effectively captured on the stump mic at the bowling end.
Here’s the video:
A few overs after that Campbell went on to hit the century. But it was Ravindra Jadeja, who provided India with the breakthrough, removing the opener for 115.
