Smriti Mandhana was the highest run-getter for India in ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
Members of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team were congratulated on Thursday at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ official residence, Varsha Bungalow, in a monumental acknowledgement of their historic accomplishment.
The occasion commemorated India’s victory over South Africa on November 2 and their first-ever ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup triumph.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recognized Vice-Captain Smriti Mandhana and teammates Jemimah Rodrigues and Radha Yadav for their exceptional contributions to the team’s victory.
A financial prize of 2.25 crore was given to each of the three players, and a check for 22.5 lakh was given to head coach Amol Muzumdar. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Sports Minister Adv. Manikrao Kokate, Minister of Cultural Affairs, Ashish Shelar, Principal Secretary, Sanjay Khandare, and Commissioner Sheetal Teli were present at the event.

Smriti Mandhana was the second-highest run-getter and the highest for India in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Jemimah Rodrigues played a terrific knock of 127* to help India defeat Australia in the semi-final after a record chase.
Bowling coach Avishkar Salvi, legend Diana Edulji, analyst Aniruddha Deshpande, and support staff members Apama Gambhirrao, Mihir Upadhyay, Purva Kate, and Mamta Shirrulla were all recognized for their contributions to the team’s accomplishments.
Renuka Singh Thakur and Kranti Gaud receive Rs 1 crore each from their respective state governments

Meanwhile, apart from the Maharashtra trio, the Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh governments had also praised players from their state who were part of the World Cup-winning Indian team and announced cash rewards for the same.
Renuka received a one-crore award on Monday from Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who praised her role in India’s successful campaign.
However, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recognized Kranti Gaud as a “daughter of the state who made the nation proud” and gave a reward of Rs 1 lakh.
