Maharashtra Women’s Cricketer Kiran Navgire achieved a massive feat in the history of the Indian domestic circuit. She slammed the fastest ever century in the women’s cricket and the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, achieving the feat in just 34 balls.

Kiran Navgire achieved the milestone in the game between Maharashtra and Punjab in the ongoing Senior Women’s T20 Trophy. The match between the two teams took place at the VCA Stadium, Civil Lines in Nagpur.

Kiran Navgire opened the innings for Maharashtra and went after the Punjab bowlers right from the start. The right-hander ended with the innings of 106 off 35 and helped her team chase the target of 111 runs in just eight overs.

Kiran batted with the strike rate of strike rate of 302.8 and slammed 14 fours and seven sixes as she did the majority of the scoring. This was also the fastest century in the history of women’s cricket as she went past Sophie Devine’s record of 36 balls.

This was also the first instance in women’s cricket when the batter slammed a century with a strike rate of over 300. What caught the attention of many was, the next best score was 6* off 10 by Mukta Magre, which speaks a lot about her innings.

Kiran has played only six T20Is for India but has been a decent performer in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). She has represented UP Warriorz in 25 games and has slammed 419 runs at 140.13 with 44 fours and 24 sixes under her belt in the tournament.

With the kind of performance that she came up with, she surely would be under the radar of selectors for the T20I team.
