Cameron Green got out for four runs in KKR vs PBKS game.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are under a lot of pressure after losing their first two games in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. On Monday, April 6, they are clashing with Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Ajinya Rahane & Co. lost their opening game against Mumbai Indians (MI) by six wickets. Later, they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 65 runs. After two defeats, KKR languish in the ninth spot in the points table.

Against Punjab, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to bat first, which also invited a lot of criticism as rain was around the corner. The home side are also playing without their two key players in Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine. While Chakravarthy is injured, Narine is not well. Rovman Powell and Navdeep Saini were added as replacements.

Choosing to bat first did not work well for KKR as they lost two quick wickets at the start. PBKS pacer Xavier Bartlett gave two big blows to KKR in the second over. Opener Finn Allen lost his wicket for just six runs, followed by Cameron Green’s dismissal in the same over for four runs.

Notably, Green has struggled to make a mark in the IPL 2026 so far. He could only score 18 runs in the opening game against Mumbai Indians. He lost his wicket for two runs in the previous clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Fans slam Cameron Green for his yet again failure in IPL 2026

The Australian all-rounder was bought by KKR in the IPL 2026 auction. At 25.20 crore, he was the costliest player in the auction. Therefore, KKR fans had big expectations from him. After another batting failure in IPL 2026, many fans slammed Green on the micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter).
