KL Rahul hit his 11th test ton in 190 balls, having hit 12 boundaries.

The Indian Cricket Team batter KL Rahul continued his golden form with the bat in test cricket. The opening batter slammed a magical ton in the ongoing first test against the West Indies Cricket Team at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After the West Indies got all out for 162, KL Rahul provided the Indian side with a great start. He continued from where he left off in England and played some crisp shots in his innings. Rahul along with Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) added 68 runs for the opening stand.

Rahul, who recently slammed a ton for India A, looked at his fluent best right from the start and put the West Indies bowlers under pressure. The opening batter hardly put a foot wrong in his innings and also made sure that the run flow was there.

Rahul slammed a solid fifty in the last session of day one and then in the morning session on day two, he looked even more concentrated and added 98 runs with Shubman Gill (50) for the third wicket.

Rahul made sure that he converted his start into a ton as he notched up a staggering century to start the home season on a high. The right-hander, who hit over 500 runs in the England series, hit his 11th test ton in 190 balls, having hit 12 boundaries.

Rahul has settled into the role of opener perfectly. After Rohit Sharma retired, he was given the permanent role and has aced that. With the way he is going, it’s fair to say that he will end up becoming one of the greats of Indian cricket in tests.
