About
Born on 18th April 1992, Kannanur Lokesh Rahul is an accomplished Indian cricketer who bats right-handed and often keeps wickets. He represents the Karnataka cricket team in domestic cricket and leads the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League.
In the Test and T20 formats, he primarily opens the innings, while in ODIs, he plays in the middle order. While he occasionally keeps wickets at the international level, he takes up the wicket-keeping duties more frequently in the domestic circuit.
Rahul made his international debut in 2014 during the Boxing Day Test match against Australia in Melbourne. He went on to make his One-Day International debut in 2016 against Zimbabwe and his T20I debut on the same tour.
A remarkable feat of Rahul is that he is the first Indian cricketer to score a century on his ODI debut. Additionally, he holds the record for being the fastest batsman across all three formats of international cricket to reach a century, achieving this in just 20 innings.
