KL Rahul made his IPL debut in 2013.

KL Rahul has emerged as one of the most consistent batsmen in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He began his IPL career with RCB in 2013 and had his breakout season in 2016, scoring 397 runs for the franchise.

His most successful IPL season came in 2020. Over the years, he has scored more than 600 runs in a single edition of the IPL four times in his career. His consistent performances in the league were rewarded with the Punjab Kings captaincy in 2020.

KL Rahul then moved to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as their captain in 2022 and led the team to back-to-back playoffs before being released by the franchise in 2024. Now in 2025, he is part of the Delhi Capitals in the IPL.

KL Rahul has so far hit four tons in the IPL and came close another time as well. Let’s take a look at his highest scores in the history of IPL.

5. 98* vs Chennai Super Kings, 2021, Dubai

One of Rahul’s best innings came while he was at Punjab Kings against the eventual winners of IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings, in Dubai. Chasing a modest 135-run target, Rahul made a mockery of the CSK bowling lineup, smashing an unbeaten 98 off just 42 balls.

His explosive innings, which included seven fours and eight sixes, helped the team chase down the target in just 13 overs.

He was named Player of the Match for 98 runs and two catches in the match.

4. 100* vs Mumbai Indians, 2019, Wankhede

KL Rahul’s maiden IPL century came in Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) colours at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai against Mumbai Indians during IPL 2019. Batting first on a batting-friendly pitch, KXIP innings was led by Rahul, who scored 100 off 64 balls.

The wicket-keeper joined hands with Chris Gayle to add 116 runs for the first wicket. Rahul’s superb innings included six fours and six sixes.

Despite his brilliance, KXIP ultimately lost the game on the last ball by three wickets.

3. 103* vs Mumbai Indians, 2022, Wankhede

Opening the innings, KL Rahul scored a brilliant unbeaten century (103*) against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium during IPL 2022.

Led by Rahul’s brilliance, LSG posted a challenging total of 168/6 on a tricky pitch. The captain led from the front, smashing 12 fours and four sixes during his 62-ball stay. No other batter, apart from Rahul, found any rhythm on the two-paced wicket.

LSG ultimately won the match by 36 runs.

2. 103* vs Mumbai Indians, 2022, Brabourne

Rahul played a terrific knock of 103 runs against Mumbai Indians at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai during IPL 2022. Batting first, LSG made 199/4 on the back of Rahul’s 103* off 60 balls, which included nine fours and five sixes.

He held the innings from one end, allowing Manish Pandey and Deepak Hooda to contribute with 38 and 15 runs respectively during the later stage of the innings.

Rahul was named Player of the Match in LSG’s 18-run win.

1. 132* vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru, 2020, Dubai

KL Rahul registered his highest IPL score of 132 during the sixth match of IPL 2020, playing for Punjab Kings against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dubai.

After being asked to bat first, PBKS notched up a mammoth total of 206/3 on the back of Rahul’s stunning century, which included 14 fours and seven sixes. He put on a 57-run partnership with Mayank Agarwal to set the foundation for a big score

PBKS ultimately won the game by 97 runs and Rahul was named Player of the Match for his century.
