[Watch] Kuldeep Sen knocks over Abhinav Manohar's with 144.9 KMPH delivery

Kuldeep Sen picked all the three first wickets to fall of Gujarat Titans.

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) faced the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 24th match of the IPL 2024. This match took place on April 10, 2024, at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. RR are unbeaten in this tournament, whereas GT have only won two of their five games thus far.

Shubman Gill, GT captain, won the toss and elected to bowl first after the play was delayed due to rain. Yashasvi Jaiswal was the first wicket to fall, scoring 24 runs in 19 balls, followed by Jos Buttler, who scored 8 runs.

Riyan Parag and captain Sanju Samson worked together to rebuild the Rajasthan Royals’ innings before decimating the GT bowling unit. Sanju Samson made 68* in just 38 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes, while Parag made 76 in 48 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes to his name.

Their 130-run partnership for the 3rd wicket proved to be golden for RR and with Shimron Hetmyer contributing 13* a six and a four, RR posted a final total of 196/3 in 20 overs, far more than they had thought at the mid-way point.

In response, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan (35) gave a brisk start to the Gujarat team, as they made 64 runs in 8.2 overs. However, then Sanju Samson introduced his fastest bowler in the lineup Kuldeep Sen and he made an immediate impact.

He removed Sai Sudharsan on the second ball he bowled. And then after a short rain break, had Matthew Wade slashing the ball outside the off-stump onto his timbers. Kuldeep was also notching up good speed, clocking over 145 kph effortlessly.

However, his brilliant delivery was the one that beat Abhinav Manohar for pace. Bowled at 144.9 kph, Manohar was very slow to react to the delivery bowled on a hard length on off stump. His feet went nowhere and by the time the bat came down, the ball had already flattened his off-stump.
