Kyle Jamieson dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the second over.
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are locking horns in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. RR captain Riyan Parag won the toss and opted to bat first in the encounters.
RR suffered a big blow in the first two overs itself as they lost both their openers cheaply. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal have shown incredible form so far, bagging victories for RR in a few games with their aggressive batting style and blistering starts in the powerplay.
However, both of them flopped in the RR vs DC clash. While Jaiswal lost his wicket in the first over of Mitchell Starc, Sooryavanshi became a victim of pacer Kyle Jamieson in the second over.
Jamieson bowled a brilliant low-dipping full-toss and Sooryavanshi hung back in the crease and tried to dig it out. The ball took the under-edge and deflected off the back pad onto the stumps. The left-handed batsman was gone for four runs off two deliveries.

The New Zealand pacer made an aggressive celebration after dismissing Sooryavanshi. As the ball hit his stumps, Jamieson roared in celebration while making eye contact with the RR opener.
His aggressive gestures towards Soorvanshi caught the attention of commentators as well as the fans. The video of his brutal send-off went viral on social media. Below is the video of the moment.
Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi has been in an amazing form since the start of IPL 2026. He has scored 404 runs in 10 games at an average of 40.40 and a strike rate of 237.64. He has also hammered a century and two half-centuries and is the third-highest run-getter in the league.
