Pakistan won U19 Asia Cup 2025 by crushing India in the final.
Asia Cup is an exciting multi-nation cricket tournament that observes nail-biting battles between Asian giants. The tournament is conducted by Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and witnessed its first edition in 1982. In the 2025 edition, India crushed Pakistan in the final to win the title.
The ACC also conducts Under-19 Asia Cup tournaments, which witness clashes for the title between the young teams of different Asian nations. The maiden edition of U19 Asia Cup took place in 1989 in Bangladesh, where India won the trophy by defeating Sri Lanka in the final.
After the maiden edition in 1989, the second edition of U19 Asia Cup took place following a gap of 14 years in 2003. Later, the third edition was conducted in 2012 after nine years. Since then, the tournament has been conducted regularly and has seen 12 editions so far.
India have won the most titles in U19 Asia Cup

India are the most successful team in U19 Asia Cup’s history, winning eight titles across 12 seasons. From 1989 to 2016, they won five consecutive tournaments; however, they shared the trophy with Pakistan in the 2012 edition as the final ended in a tie.
Pakistan and Bangladesh are next with two trophies in their kitty, while Afghanistan won the trophy once. Interestingly, Sri Lanka have reached the final on five occasions but never managed to win the tournament, finishing as runners-up each time.
Pakistan won U19 Asia Cup 2025

The latest edition of the tournament, U19 Asia Cup 2025, took place in December, where Pakistan crushed India in the final to win the title. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, India, Pakistan, UAE, and Malaysia were the eight teams that participated in the tournament.
India made it to the final by crushing Sri Lanka in the semis. On the other hand, Pakistan booked a berth in the summit clash by outplaying Bangladesh in the semi-final. India, who crushed Pakistan once in the group stage, were unbeaten in the tournament ahead of the final.
However, Pakistan executed marvellous efforts to outplay the Boys in Blue and steal the trophy. After being asked to bat first, Pakistan piled up a gigantic total of 347/8 in the first innings, with a spectacular century by opener Sameer Minhas (172) and a half-century by Ahmed Hussain (56).
India lost the plot since the beginning, losing their openers and key batters cheaply. Ali Raza clinched a four-wicket haul as India lost their batters like a house of cards, and were eventually bowled out for 156 runs to lose by a huge margin of 191 runs. Minhas was awarded Player of the Match for his marvellous ton.
