Massive boost for Lucknow Super Giants as pacer Mohsin Khan joins the team for remainder of IPL 2023

Mohsin Khan missed Lucknow Super Giants' first 5 matches of the IPL 2023 with shoulder injury.

The IPL 2022 wonder Mohsin Khan has now joined the Lucknow Super Giants for the upcoming games. Mohsin Khan missed 5 of Lucknow’s opening games due to a shoulder injury. Mohsin after his recovery joined the Lucknow Super Giants squad on Monday. Mohsin may need one more game break before making his comeback in the IPL 2023. Mohsin had a wonderful season with Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022. Mohsin was out of action since the last IPL. He last played a competitive game in May 2022 against RCB which was the playoff encounter between the two teams.

Left arm pacer from Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh impressed everyone with his pace and line in the previous season. He posted an update on Instagram about him joining the LSG camp. He posted, “Ready to take on the field”. Mohsin played 9 games for Lucknow and picked up 14 wickets last year. He became an integral part of Lucknow since he made his IPL debut last year. Mohsin bowled under the economy rate of 5.97. He played an instrumental role in Lucknow Super Giants success in the IPL 2022.

Currently, Lucknow are using Jaydev Unadkat, Avesh Khan, Yudhvir Singh, and Mark Wood in their pace attack. Afghanistan’s Naveen Ul Haq is also present in the Lucknow squad. Lucknow Super Giants are currently second in the points table with 6 points. Lucknow have played 5 games so far in the season and won 3 of them, while they lost 2, one against Chennai and one against Punjab Kings. Lucknow will take on Rajasthan Royals in their next clash at Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday 19th April.
