"Won't tolerate Maa Behen Gaalis": Yashasvi Jaiswal opens up on being sent back by Rahane

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 625 runs in 14 innings for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL earlier this year.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s rise has been a magnificent story for everyone in Indian cricket. From struggling to get shelter, to now making it into the Indian test squad for the upcoming West Indies tour, his journey is an inspiration for many aspiring young cricketers. His discipline has been a top effort from his side towards the game.
Yet, on one occasion he was sent back by his skipper Ajinkya Rahane for saying a few words to the opposition batter. Now in an interview to The Lallantop, Yashasvi Jaiswal has opened up about the incident in Duleep Trophy in 2022 against South Zone. Ajinkya Rahane sent him back for continuously sledging South Zone batter Ravi Teja.
Jaiswal talks about aggression
Talking about the incident Yashasvi Jaiswal said that he hadn’t said anything too bad. He said, “Aggression is important and I am aggressive mentally. Sometimes that comes out I guess. But I hadn’t said anything big at that time but it’s ok, things happen. What is the use of talking about it then”. Talking about sledging in international cricket and the Indian Premier League he made a big statement and said, “No one really knows about it. It depends upon who is saying what. If somebody abuses my mother and sister then I won’t keep quiet”. Jaiswal showed aggression with his bat in the recently concluded IPL 2023 and smashed 625 runs in 14 innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is set to make his test debut against West Indies at Windsor Park in Dominica. Indian team management will be preferring him over Ruturaj Gaikwad as he is a left-hander and holds magnificent Red-ball stats. Shubman Gill will be shifted to number three as Cheteshwar Pujara is dropped from the Indian squad for the upcoming tour. Jaiswal was also a member of Indian reserves for the WTC Final against Australia. Jaiswal has played 15 first-class matches and scored 1845 runs at an outstanding average of 80.21, he also smashed 9 centuries and 2 half-centuries in 26 innings.
