Major change in IPL 2026 schedule due to THIS reason

There has been a change in the schedule of matches between CSK and GT.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) have not faced each other in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) so far. The first match between the two teams will take place on 26th April.
CSK have witnessed a horrible start in IPL 2026, losing their first three games in a row. However, they won their first match by defeating the Delhi Capitals (DC).
Gujarat also suffered a poor start, losing their first two encounters. However, they bounced back by winning their next two matches. CSK and GT are set to clash on April 26 and May 21 in IPL 2026. However, there has been a major change in the venues of their matches.
Venue changed for matches between CSK and GT
Notably, the first clash between CSK and GT was originally scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad on April 26 in the afternoon. However, the match will now be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Apart from this, the second match between the two teams will be played on May 21 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It was earlier scheduled to be played in Chennai.
The change has been made due to the municipal corporation elections across Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat on April 26.

CSK are placed in the ninth spot with two points. A few players have shown brilliant form in IPL 2026, but they have lacked teamwork in both departments.
