Two months of outstanding cricket culminated in Chennai Super Kings winning their fifth IPL championship by defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets (DLS method) on the final night.
Chasing 171 runs in 15 overs, Devon Conway led the charge with 47 runs, while cameos from Ruturaj Gaikwad (26), Ajinkya Rahane (27 in 13 balls), and Ambati Rayudu (19 off 8 balls) kept them in the game. Shivam Dube with 32* and Ravindra Jadeja hit a six and a four off the last two balls of the 15th over when 10 runs were needed to win the final and the title for Chennai Super Kings.
Earlier, thanks to a half-century from Wriddhiman Saha and a knock of 96 runs from Sai Sudharsan, Gujarat had posted 214/4, the highest total in the IPL final.
