The Indian Cricket Team are gearing up for a major white-ball tour of England in July 2026. The tour includes five T20Is followed by three-match ODI series from July 14 to July 19. The Men in Blue have already sealed the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, and now, they will be playing the final ODI in Chennai , aiming for a clean sweep.
India have already announced their T20I squad for the England and Ireland tours, with Shreyas Iyer named as Captain and Tilak Verma as vice-captain. The young star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also got his maiden India call-up after having an exceptional performance in the IPL 2026.
Virat Kohli suffered a hamstring injury during the IPL 2026 final match against the Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, he played an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls and helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to lift their second consecutive IPL trophy. The injury ruled him out of the ongoing home ODI series against Afghanistan as well.

According to TOI, Virat Kohli has made significant progress in recovering from the hamstring injury he suffered during the IPL 2026 Final. Kohli has already started his rehabilitation, and the injury is healing faster than expected.
Virat Kohli soon will be giving a fitness test before receiving clearance for the three-match ODI series against England.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce the ODI squad for England later this week. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that the selection meeting will take place in the coming days to announce the squad.
If Kohli received medical clearance, he is expected to be included in the squad for the England series. The three ODIs will be played in Birmingham, Cardiff and Lord’s between July 14 and July 19.
