The India vs Pakistan group stage fixture in Asia Cup 2025 is schedule for 14th September.
Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary has lashed out at the Government of India for allowing Indian Cricket Team to play against Pakistan Cricket Team in Asia Cup 2025. He said that the value of human life should be valued more than sports.
The India vs Pakistan clash in Asia Cup 2025 got the green signal recently as the Indian government released the policy related to the sporting ties with Pakistan. Since the last few months, there have been a lot of talks about the game between the two arch-rivals in the Asia Cup after what happened in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Following a terrorist attack by Pakistani terrorists in Pahalgam, there were calls to cut all cricket ties with Pakistan. Many fans and pundits urged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to even boycott Asia Cup 2025. Amid all this, the Indian government released the official policy.
According to that, India vs Pakistan bilateral ties won’t happen, but they will be playing against each other in multi-national tournaments and International Cricket Council (ICC) events. This means that Asia Cup 2025 clash will be played as per the schedule on 14th September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
The value of a human life should be more than sports – Manoj Tiwary

Manoj Tiwary, however, wasn’t amazed by the Indian government’s decision, highlighting how there were different talks when the Pahalgam attack happened. He said that everything has been forgotten. But added that he won’t be watching the game. Speaking to ANI, he said:
“I am a little surprised that this match is going to happen… After the Pahalgam attack, in which so many innocent civilians were killed, and then the war that followed, a lot of talk was going on that this time we will give a befitting reply.
“Despite this, after a few months, everything has been forgotten… I find it hard to believe that this match is happening, that the value of a human life can be zero. What do they want to achieve by playing with Pakistan?… The value of a human life should be more than sports… There is no question of me watching the match at all…” he added.
India and Pakistan can play each other three times in Asia Cup 2025. They are expected to play in the Super Four stage as well as the final. The tournament begins on 9th September with final set to be played on 28th.
