IND vs SA: [Watch] Marco Jansen takes one-handed blinder catch to dismiss Mohammed Siraj as South Africa seal series in Guwahati

Marco Jansen clinched a six-wicket haul in the first innings of the second IND vs SA test.

South Africa Cricket Team crushed Indian Cricket Team by 408 runs in the second test at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday, November 26. Against a target of 549 runs, India were bowled out for just 140 runs to suffer a humiliating defeat. In what was a winning moment, Proteas pacer Marco Jansen took a sensational catch to dismiss India’s Mohammed Siraj, which was a last wicket.

Jansen was the star for South Africa with the bat, grabbing the spotlight with his batting, bowling, and fielding. In the first innings, he scored a 93-run knock to help the team reach a mammoth total of 489 runs.

Moreover, he also clinched a six-wicket haul to dominate Indian batters, as they were bundled out for just 201 runs. The first innings lead of 288 runs almost ensured South Africa’s victory in the clash even before day five.

In the 65th over of Indian innings in the second session, Siraj got forward to play a lofted shot against Keshav Maharaj. It seemed that the ball would land safely but, Jansen ran backwards towards the ball near the boundary from mid-on.

He put in a magnificent dive and caught the ball, leaving everyone stunned. South Africa players patted Jansen for his amazing fielding efforts as they celebrated a historic test series victory in India. Have a look at the video below.

Meanwhile, Jansen was awarded player of the match for picking a total of seven wickets in the match and hitting a crucial 93 runs in the first innings. With the victory, South Africa won the two-match test series 2-0, winning their second test series in India to add their name to the record books.
