ICC WTC 2023-25 final: Michael Vaughan predicts the winners between Australia and South Africa

Michael Vaughan backed Australia to win the ICC WTC 2023-25 final.
Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan predicted the winners of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 final. Australia and South Africa are locking horns in the summit clash, which is taking place at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
Pat Cummins is the skipper of Australia, while Temba Bavuma is the captain of South Africa. Proteas skipper won the toss and opted to bowl first in the ICC WTC 2023-25 final as they aim to win their first-ever ICC WTC mace.
On the other hand, the Pat Cummins-led side is the defending champions of the tournament. In the final of the previous edition in 2023, they outplayed the Indian Cricket Team, under Rohit Sharma, to lift the trophy. Hence, they aim to defend their title in the ongoing encounter.

Former England cricketer-turned-commentator Vaughan shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) to predict the winners of the ICC WTC 2023-25 final. The former England cricketer feels Australia are much more powerful than South Africa in the encounter. “The Aussies to be too strong for SA this week at Lords is my guess … #WTCFinal”, the 50-year-old tweeted.
Josh Hazlewood has been picked in the playing XI by Australia after making his return to the test setup. He, along with skipper Cummins and Mitchell Starc, form an experienced pace department for the defending champions. For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Marco Jansen are the three frontline pacers
Meanwhile, South Africa finished in the top spot in the ICC WTC 2023-25 points table to book a berth in the final. They finished with a win percentage (PCT) of 69.44 by winning eight games and losing three out of 12. One match ended in a draw.
Australia ended in the second spot with a PCT of 67.54. Out of 19 games, they bagged victories in 13 games and lost four encounters. Two matches ended in a draw.
