Michael Vaughan has predicted ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 winners.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has made a massive prediction for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027. According to him, it will be the home team South Africa, who will be lifting the prestigious trophy two years later.
Michael Vaughan’s comment came after South Africa thrashed England in the ongoing ODI series between the teams. The Temba Bavuma-led side came up with two magnificent performances and took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.
After winning the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 final, South Africa have unleashed their beast mode in international cricket. They defeated Australia in the ODI series and then followed it up with sensational performances in the ongoing England series.
In the first ODI at Headingley in Leeds, South Africa defeated England by seven wickets. They bundled out the home side for 131 and then chased the target with around 30 overs to spare. If this was not enough, they came up with another magical effort.
In the second game at the Lord’s in London, South Africa completed a brilliant five-run win. Batting first, they piled up a total of 330, and then restricted the English side to just 325, winning the game by a small margin and bagging the series with one game to go.
